It is well documented that music is understood to play a strong role in enhancing quality of life, including health, wellness, education, creativity and emotional expression.

At Funky Frog Music we believe strongly that a love of music can and should start at a very young age but that a young child’s musical beginnings should not be compromised by poor quality, amateur music just because they are too little to complain or to know any different. Why shouldn’t the music we offer our children be of the same professionalism and quality that we would choose for ourselves?

That’s why Zootopia offers little ears something more sophisticated than the often amateurish iterations of nursery rhymes and “wheels on the bus”. With each song beautifully played and sung, with layers of instrumentation and vocal harmonisation, there is so much to enjoy within each song and every successive listening uncovers more to delight the senses.

Each song has something for every young child’s learning stage:

• Babies and young toddlers will identify with the simple melodies and catchy rhythms.

• The older toddler and pre-schooler will start to enjoy the words, each song painting a beautiful scene of enchanting animal characters going about their daily business.

• The school age child will additionally start to enjoy the more sophisticated elements of each song, the different styles of music, the harmonies, drum beats and subtle humorous lyrical touches.

The educational lyrics encourage children through some of the more challenging parts of a typical day e.g. tooth-brushing, bathing, eating healthily, going to the supermarket, dressing up warm to go out, having a nap.
